Friends with Boys
Friends with Boys
by Faith Erin Hicks
Friends with Boys is a rare treat. It's a fast read, but it's also an enjoyable one. There are plenty of plot lines that haven't been wrapped up, but it feels more real for that. Not all of life's mysteries are wrapped up at the end. I do hope that the author might continue the story, though.
All told, it's a very sweet story about fitting in at high school. The artwork is done well, and works. The different characters are believable, and well done. The guilt and awkwardness rings so very true.
While I can see this geared for middle schoolers, I think adults may enjoy it as well.
Pick it up, if you can. If not, my library has it. Borrow it, and then buy it when you can.
